Alena is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Virginia. She received her dual bachelor's degree in psychology and linguistics from Berea College, where she was first introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis. While completing her master's degree at James Madison University, Alena gained experience with educational assessment and program evaluation, as well as working with the local refugee population providing educational and career support. She has over 6 years of experience in the field and has worked with individuals with various developmental disabilities ranging in age from toddlerhood to adulthood in several settings including schools, day support programs, and home-based programs. Prior to becoming a master trainer, Alena served as a program supervisor on a multidisciplinary team and provided training and supervision to service providers and caregivers in the area, along with providing remote consultation to ABA-based classroom teams overseas.
